I welcome individuals and small groups into my home studio to make art for enjoyment and pleasure.  I am an experienced teacher and especially enjoy supporting non-artists to have a go.  Once upon a time I couldn’t draw!  Now I draw for pleasure and relaxation.  Join me to learn skills and techniques and have fun.

Maximum of 4 for any workshop in my small, sunny studio with a peep of the Mangawhai estuary and the sand dunes.   For printmakers the limit is 2 to allow sufficient work space and access to the printing press.

Description

Printmaking

Access to a printing press and printmaking knowledge and skill; these were the things I needed in my beginning days of being a printmaker.   Now with my own press, I would like to encourage others to explore the dynamic world of printmaking.  I am exploring forms of printmaking that are non-toxic, affordable and  will expand my art practice.  I am currently focusing on collagraph and dry point, which benefit from a printing press.  I am keen to explore monotype which does not need a press. My printing press takes paper a little larger than A2.  I find this is a size that is manageable for one person with wet paper to place!  My studio is limited to two printmakers at a time to allow sufficient space.  See ‘Developing your own art‘ above for studio information.
